Ryo Saegusa (三枝 亮), Ph.D. is an Associate Professor belonging to the Human Robot Symbiosis Laboratory of the Faculty of Creative Engineering of the Kanagawa Institute of Technology dedicating as well as a Project Coordinator of the Nursing Robot Project of Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and an Invited Researcher of Research Institute for Science and Engineering, Waseda University.
In past, he worked in the role of a Project Associate Professor belonging to the Center for Human-Robot Symbiosis Research of the Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan (TUT), a Senior Postdoc Researcher of the Department of Robotics, Brain and Cognitive Sciences (RBCS) in the Italian Institute of Technology, Italy (IIT), and a Research Associate in the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Waseda University, Japan.
His research topic is a neuromorphic approach for man-machine harmonization. His research interests include (1) machine learning and pattern recognition, (2) computer vision, (3) audio and signal processing, (4) developmental robotics, (5) man-machine interface, and (6) medical, nursing and welfare systems.
